Chris Fenolio

A long time colleague of practice founders Ian Bennett and Boyana Bounkova, Chris Fenolio frequently works with the firm in an Of Counsel capacity, associating on matters which require focused services in the areas of tax law, real estate law and business law.

Services which Chris works with Bounkova & Bennett to provide include tax, real estate and business law services for wealthy individuals, businesses, partnerships, corporations, tax-exempt entities, and start-ups, as well as estate and gift tax planning, family wealth preservation and wealth transfer consulting, and venture capital and fundraising.

Prior to entering the practice of law, Chris spent several years working as a senior accountant at Deloitte Tax LLP and previously at PriceWaterhouse Coopers LLP. Chris has also served as a consultant for private real estate groups focusing on investment management, development, and venture capital and fundraising. Chris holds a Masters in Business Taxation from the University of Southern California, a JD from Chapman University, has a certificate in Environmental, Real Estate, and Land Use Law, and is a licensed CA real estate broker. Chris maintains his own private tax, real estate practice, and business law practice in addition to his work with Bounkova & Bennett.

Having spent several years living in Squaw Valley, Chris is an expert skier and enjoys frequent trips to the mountains with his Belgian Malinois. Chris also devotes a considerable amount of his spare time to the development of an exclusive line of premium Napa Valley wines.
